Staff Accountant

Legacy Housing Corporation, a publicly-traded manufactured housing builder, is seeking a sharp, detail-driven Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Department. This role is open to both recent graduates and candidates early in their accounting careers (roughly 0-2 years of experience). It offers hands-on experience with a public company, excellent exposure to manufacturing and financial services, and direct visibility to the Corporate Controller and CFO. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts Perform bank and other financial account reconciliations Prepare documentation of financial transactions and summarize results for management Assist with month-end and quarter-end close Ensure accounting and reporting practices, including documentation, are performed in accordance with GAAP Respond to requests from key business partners and internal and external auditors Support automation efforts to drive efficiencies, enhanced controls, and improved accuracy Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports to management Perform other functions as needed Qualifications & Skills

REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (completed or in progress) Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA — please include your GPA on your resume or application 0-2 years of experience; no prior accounting work experience required Genuine comfort and curiosity with Excel and spreadsheets Strong analytical mindset and excellent attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills Team player with an outstanding attitude

PREFERRED

Internship or coursework in accounting, audit, financial reporting, or finance Interest in or exposure to manufacturing and inventory processes Experience with an ERP system (we are transitioning from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Business Central, so you'll gain exposure to both) Progress toward CPA eligibility

Pay:

$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
