What You'll Own Manage journal entries, general ledger accuracy, and account reconciliations with precision Reconcile and post bank statements, monthly finance reserves, and GS statements Prepare for and respond to internal and external audit requests Process product cancellation refunds for customers and lienholders Accurately process lease buy-backs and dealer trades Review multiple dealership schedules monthly and make necessary corrections Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures Cross-train in Accounts Receivable and Billing to provide backup coverage as needed Ensure accurate financial processing, timely reporting, and compliance with internal policies Take on additional responsibilities assigned by leadership as the role evolves What You Bring to the Table 3-5 years of automotive dealership accounting experience preferred — this is a must! Proven track record of successful accounting management in an automotive setting with references Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Reynolds & Reynolds experience is a big plus Sharp analytical skills with an eagle eye for detail and financial accuracy Excellent communication and organizational skills — you keep everyone on the same page A self-starter mentality — you don't wait to be told twice Ability to juggle multiple deadlines without breaking a sweat Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information Professional, dependable, and collaborative across all departments Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Health, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off Employee Assistance Program Career growth within the Vaughan Automotive Group family of dealerships
