Job DescriptionJob Description Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant for an immediate need within a growing manufacturing environment. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations while contributing to month-end close and process improvements. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for long-term growth. This position is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership in a lean, fast-paced finance team. Key Responsibilities Support month-end close activities and maintain accurate financial records Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and follow-up Handle invoicing related to manufacturing operations, including parts and inventory Review financial statements and transactions for accuracy and compliance Assist with payroll tax support and coordination with external tax professionals Maintain and update accounting systems, records, and documentation Utilize Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs) Partner with internal departments and external stakeholders including customers, banks, and tax authorities Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and streamline workflows Requirements 3+ years of accounting experience Experience in a manufacturing environment Exposure to inventory or parts-related accounting (invoicing, tracking, etc.) Proficiency with QuickBooks Online Strong Microsoft Excel skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, fully onsite environment Strong communication skills and a proactive, confident approach Preferred Qualifications Degree in Accounting or related field (not required) Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting Exposure to payroll tax processes or compliance work
