Senior Accountant

As we continue to scale, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to help strengthen the integrity, accuracy, and scalability of our accounting operations. This is a hands-on role suited for a strong technical accountant who also brings operational discipline, sound judgment, and a mindset for process improvement. You will be deeply involved in day-to-day accounting while helping evolve systems and controls to support company growth. This role offers a clear pathway for leadership development for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Own core accounting functions including: General ledger management Accounts receivable Reconciliations Journal entries Month-end close Support a high-volume transactional environment (10,000+ transactions monthly) Ensure accurate fund tracking and reconciliation in accordance with legal and court-directed requirements Prepare timely, accurate monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages Maintain GAAP compliance and uphold strong internal control standards Process regular billing cycles Support audit readiness, documentation, and coordination with external reviewers Partner cross-functionally on settlements, disbursements, and compliance initiatives Improve and optimize cloud-based accounting systems and automation processes Lead continuous improvement initiatives across accounting workflows Develop, formalize, and implement accounting policies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience in high-volume, multi-account environments Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting systems Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis) CPA preferred but not required
