$28-$30/hr
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Grants Accountant to join our team on a contract to hire basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting grant management and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The position is on-site, providing an excellent chance to collaborate directly with our team at our Fort Worth location.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounting processes related to grant awards, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of financial activities. Monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with donor and organizational guidelines. Prepare and review financial reports for grants, including reconciliation and variance analysis. Collaborate with program staff and auditors to facilitate audits and reporting requirements. Maintain detailed records of grant transactions and ensure adherence to deadlines. Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts related to grants.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in grant accounting, preferably within government or non-governmental sectors. Excellent proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Preferred:
Knowledge of advanced computer systems and governmental accounting practices.
Experience:
At least 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience; Master's Degree plus 1 year of related experience may substitute for some requirements.
