Position Responsibilities:

Assist with reviewing and recording 3 rd Party Retail and Store Manager Cost Inventory Audits - research variances, review for errors and accuracy, and make adjustments as necessary. Assist with reporting results to Operations and Risk Management Teams. Review Inventory sub-ledger reports for all stores including AP invoice entries, write-offs to waste, spoilage, bad merchandise, and inventory exceptions and research and resolve any errors or omissions. Assist with the Vendor Rebate process working with Pricebook and Merchandise teams to accrue revenue for Rebates, Store Promotions, Growth Programs, etc. Process Rebate Manager system accruals, invoices, and aging reports. Post payments for Vendor rebates, promotions and miscellaneous income. Assist Supervisor with processing general ledger journal entries (i.e., accruals and prepaids). Assist in preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations and workpapers. Assist with the development of key financial and operational reporting tools. Assist Supervisor with preparation of quarterly/annual audit requests. Assist in the documentation of internal controls relating to our accounting operations. Perform ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications:

1-3 years accounting experience, preferably in a retail environment Bachelor's or associate degree in accounting/finance Strong knowledge of application and accounting principles Excellent organizational, written, and analytical skills Strong attention to detail Strong computer skills, MS Excel a must Strong interpersonal/communication skills Team player and ability to work in fast-paced changing environment Previous experience using PDI software, a plus, but not required

Preferred Skills and Competencies:
