Job Description:
Senior Accountant A growing distribution and manufacturing organization is seeking a highly analytical Senior Accountant to support a complex, multi?entity accounting environment. This is a hands?on role with heavy exposure to reconciliations, Excel?based analysis, intercompany activity, and public?company processes. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys deep?dive accounting work, thrives in a fast?paced setting, and wants to be part of an organization evolving from a recent acquisition. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Exposure to public?company reporting, controls, and systems Excel?heavy role with meaningful analytical depth Multi?entity accounting with intercompany activity Strong learning curve-no two days are the same Room for growth as the company continues acquisitions and expansion What You'll Do Assist with month?end close, including preparation and posting of journal entries related to AR, AP, inventory, and accrued expenses Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts and supporting subledgers Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Support vendor rebate filings, tracking, and reconciliations Prepare cost trend and performance analyses across branches and entities Analyze profitability and performance at the branch and entity level Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Perform variance analysis, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions Support internal controls, policies, and public?company reporting requirements Participate in ad hoc analysis and special projects tied to growth and system integration Deep dive into accounting systems and data to troubleshoot and resolve issues What They're Looking For Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor's preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong reconciliation and general ledger background Experience in multi?entity and intercompany accounting environments Distribution or manufacturing industry experience preferred Public company experience strongly preferred Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, heavy data analysis) Experience with integrated ERP systems
