Staff Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Shifflett & Philips is looking for a staff accountant who is significantly experienced in QuickBooks and can provide financial support to a variety of clients in different industries. The ideal candidate will be able to manage monthly activity, prepare bank reconciliations, and provide financial statement preparation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting
• Process corporate bank account reviews and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• EOM and YE close routine
• Review payroll tax payments and filings
• Use and implement QuickBooks for clients (QuickBooks Desktop & QuickBooks Online)

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

• Preferred associate accounting degree or equivalent experience
• Experience working with a CPA firm is a plus
• Professional presentation and conduct is required
• Must be responsible and self-managed, have excellent follow-up and tracking skills and be detail-oriented
• Minimum 2 years' experience in QuickBooks is required
