Job Description

Katopody LLC has a full-time audit and tax senior position available in our Grapevine, Texas office. We are a Certified Public Accounting firm specializing in audit, tax, and consulting within the real estate industry, specifically multi-family affordable housing and the low-income housing tax credit program. We contribute to all our employees' 401k accounts and provide a flexible PTO and work schedule policy.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete tax and/or audit engagements for assigned clients with minimal oversight Perform detailed reviews of engagement work to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards Complete the audit planning, fieldwork, and job wrap-up of each entity assigned Identify potential issues within engagements and develop practical, well-reasoned solutions Conduct industry-specific research, analyze data, and prepare reports with clear findings and recommendations Prepare and maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation Contribute to the preparation of client deliverables and communications Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships through responsiveness and quality service Continue developing technical knowledge through training and professional development opportunities Manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines and contribute to overall engagement success Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned Required Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Receptive to feedback and able to implement improvements as needed Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in team settings Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and report-writing tools Professional demeanor in all interactions with clients and colleagues Ability to meet internal deadlines and manage workload expectations Willingness to work additional hours during peak season Your Background & Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (advanced degree preferred) 2-5 years of relevant experience in public accounting or a related field Active CPA License Experience in areas such as affordable housing, tax credits, real estate, nonprofit accounting, or compliance is beneficial but not required
