Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Senior Accountant for an opportunity with a leading, high profile organization in the DFW area. This role serves as a key financial partner to operational leadership, driving strategic decision-making, financial planning, and process improvements across the business.Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leadership to manage departmental financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including cost analysis, capital project evaluations, and scenario modeling
- Oversee daily financial operations such as accruals, account analysis, and funding oversight for contracts and projects
- Provide guidance on complex accounting and financial matters, ensuring alignment with GAAP and organizational standards
- Develop and enhance processes to improve financial efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Lead financial review meetings, presenting insights and actionable recommendations to leadership
- Mentor and support junior finance team members while fostering a strong financial discipline across departments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or business analysis
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial modeling concepts such as NPV and IRR
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
- CPA highly preferred
