Senior Accountant Southlake, TX The Encompass Group is partnering with a rapidly growing, mission-driven healthcare organization in the search for a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team in Southlake, TX. About the Organization This healthcare organization operates across multiple divisions, including 503a pharmacies, physician-to-patient healthcare services, medical clinics, and proprietary healthcare software platforms. Their leadership team is passionate about advancing innovative treatment solutions, improving healthcare accessibility, and supporting long-term patient outcomes through a root-cause approach to care. Position Overview The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the organization's accounting operations and financial reporting processes. This individual will work closely with leadership while helping maintain accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and assisting with the development of scalable accounting processes across multiple business entities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, experience operating in a fast-moving environment, and the ability to mentor junior accounting staff while remaining hands-on in daily accounting functions. Key Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end close processes across multiple business units Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules Maintain accurate cash-basis accounting records and financial reporting Assist with sales tax compliance and filings Prepare audit workpapers and collaborate with external auditors Support intercompany accounting and consolidation activities Analyze financial data and assist leadership with reporting needs Help improve accounting processes and internal controls as the organization scales Mentor and support junior accounting team members Collaborate cross-functionally with operational and executive leadership teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of technical accounting principles Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and support team members Healthcare, pharmacy, multi-entity, or high-growth company experience is a plus
