Job Title:
Senior Accountant Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations. This role plays a key part in financial analysis, audit coordination, and supporting management decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Lead monthly and year-end financial close processes Review journal entries and account reconciliations Prepare financial reports and support group reporting requirements Support budgeting and forecasting; perform variance analysis Manage tax compliance (e.g., Sales & Use Tax, 1099) with external advisors Research and apply accounting standards (US
GAAP, IFRS, J-GAAP
) Assist with audits and improve accounting processes Provide guidance to junior accounting staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-8+ years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS and J-GAAP preferred Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred:
CPA or progress toward CPA/CMA Experience working with international or overseas reporting
Language Requirement:
Business-level Japanese (reading, writing, speaking) required Application Form
