Job Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our client's organization. This is an opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in GAAP, fixed assets, accruals, general ledger, financial reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, internal controls, audit support, and prepaid expenses. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry. This position offers a challenging and rewarding environment, allowing for significant growth and advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
As a Accountant, your key responsibilities will include: 1. Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules. 2. Performing month-end closings, preparing and posting journal entries, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. 3. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring they are accurate and completed in a timely manner. 4. Conducting variance analysis and preparing detailed reports. 5. Assisting in the development of budgets and forecasts. 6. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. 7. Providing audit support by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries. 8. Managing and tracking prepaid expenses, accruals, and other related tasks. 9. Collaborating with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting. 10. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure the company's accounting policies and procedures are compliant.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector. 3. A solid understanding of GAAP, fixed assets, accruals, general ledger, financial reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, internal controls, audit support, and prepaid expenses. 4. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. 7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 8. A proactive approach to work, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability. 9. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development. 10.
