Our operations include raw material purchasing, extrusion, bag-making, recycling, packaging, and shipment to nationwide customers. We are seeking a skilled Accountant to support financial accuracy, cost control, payroll verification, and operational reporting. Job Overview The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, production cost tracking, payroll reconciliation, inventory control, and month-end closing for the manufacturing plant. This role works closely with plant managers, supervisors, HR, and the warehouse team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Responsibilities 1. General Accounting Handle daily accounting transactions including AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and journal entries. 2. Cost Accounting (Manufacturing Focus) Track production cost: raw materials, labor, machine hours, scrap, packaging, and overhead. Calculate cost of goods manufactured (COGM) and cost of goods sold (COGS). Review and validate daily production logs (extrusion, cutting, packaging, recycling).
Analyze variances:
material usage, yield, scrap rate, and labor efficiency. Support management in reducing cost and improving profitability. 3. Inventory Management Perform monthly inventory reconciliation of raw materials, WIP, scrap, and finished goods. Monitor FIFO, cycle counts, and warehouse adjustments. Investigate discrepancies between system data and physical counts. 4. Payroll & Labor Cost Verification Review timesheets, overtime hours, and shift differentials. Coordinate with HR to ensure payroll accuracy. Analyze labor cost per machine, per shift, and per production line. 5. Compliance & Internal Control Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies. Improve internal controls for material issuing, production reporting, and inventory movement. Support tax filings, insurance audits, and government reporting. Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with year-end closing. Maintain accurate ledgers and support audit requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2-4 years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred. Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management. Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP/WMS systems preferred. Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual in English & Chinese language is a plus. Full-time position based at the plant's office; Monday-Friday. Must be available for month-end inventory counts and urgent operational needs. Job Type:
