Job Summary The Accountant-Payroll is responsible for verifying transactions and identifying accounting discrepancies, as well as accurate and timely payroll processing and overseeing all aspects of a company's payroll.
Duties and responsibilities:
TWC Reports (Paycor) W2s/1099s (Paycor) Monitor and manage processes for payroll deductions. Process bi-weekly hourly payroll and semi-monthly salary payroll. Prepare month-end accrual for payroll, accrued PTO. Reconcile all payroll related balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Reconcile payroll deductions against insurance billings. Other duties as assigned. When not processing payroll- Perform general accounting and other related duties, such as balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with Accounts Payable duties, such as entering invoices and recording purchasing card activities. Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform audit. Assist with managing patient refund process. Other duties as assigned. You will love it here if you have: Familiarity with the following software programs: QB's Paycor ECW Sage Intacct Employee Navigator Extensive knowledge of federal and state payroll law. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
We need you to have:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred. 3+ years accounting and or Payroll experience.
Working conditions:
Monday - Friday Full-time On-site position within an office setting.
Physical requirements:
