Killeen, TX Pay:
$90-100k/yr DOE •Position is on-site but client will consider hybrid schedule• About the
Role:
Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a local bank for a Senior Financial Accountant. This role is responsible for supporting financial reporting, month-end close, regulatory reporting, and process improvements within the accounting department.
Qualifications:
CPA required (no exceptions) Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance 3-8 years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with report writing and data analysis Proficient in Microsoft Office Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Must pass a background check
Key Responsibilities:
Manage month-end close and prepare financial reports Prepare quarterly regulatory reports Create and review journal entries and reconciliations Analyze financial data and research account discrepancies Assist with audits and regulatory examinations Support budgeting and internal reporting processes Improve and streamline accounting workflows and systems Oversee property tax reporting for multiple locations Mentor and support accounting staff as needed Participate in ongoing industry and regulatory training
