In order to continue the growth of our group, Katoen Natie Specialty Chemicals Inc. (USA) is looking for a Senior Accountant in La Porte, TX. Responsibilities Knowledge of US GAAP Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules Support external financial reporting requirements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Prepare internal management reports, KPI reporting, and financial analysis for leadership teams Coordinate and support the annual budgeting process, including consolidation of departmental budgets, review of assumptions, and preparation of management reporting Support periodic forecasting activities and budget revisions throughout the year Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and provide insights to management regarding financial performance Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations, and requested documentation Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies Conduct variance analysis on financial results, budgets, forecasts, labor, and operational performance Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals Analyze financial data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvements Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, commercial, and other departments to ensure accurate reporting Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls Identifies issues attributing to account delinquency and discusses them with management Process Accounts Payable AMEX transactions in accounting system Process new hires in expense management system Manage corporate credit card statement distribution Ensure compliance with KTN purchasing procedures Performs other administrative/support duties to assist the team as assigned Assist with ad hoc reporting, projects, and process improvement initiatives as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; 8+ years of experience can satisfy the degree requirement 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required Strong experience with external reporting, internal reporting, reconciliations, and audit coordination Advanced analytical and variance analysis skills Mandatory experience using Oracle ERP systems Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or Navision preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience in multi-entity, logistics, warehousing, transportation, or operational environments is a plus Dynamic personality with strong interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy required Demonstrates high integrity and confidentiality Ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines Must work well independently and within a team Willing to travel nationally and internationally if needed Professional appearance and demeanor Excellent computer skills including PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel Requirements Must be currently able to work legally in the United States Must be able to read, write and speak the English language proficiently Ability to perform all basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Oracle Cloud experience Preferred Attributes Highly detail-oriented with strong accuracy and follow-through Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams Process improvement mindset with strong critical thinking skills Comfortable working with large data sets and operational reporting Experience coordinating annual budgets and forecasts in a multi-entity environment Experience supporting leadership teams with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities Experience working in warehousing, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, or industrial operations preferred Benefits In exchange for your hard work and dedication, we offer training and an introduction into a growing organization, both in the USA and abroad.
