Laredo, TX Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the financial operations of the company, supporting accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a solid foundation in accounting principles and a proactive mindset to support the organization's financial health and growth. Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily accounting activities, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and account analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Support month-end and year-end closing processes Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and external regulatory requirements Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and depreciation Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit documentation Review and improve internal accounting processes to increase accuracy and efficiency Support accounts payable/receivable as needed and help resolve discrepancies Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial-related matters and reporting Mentor and support junior accounting team members as needed Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of relevant accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently Preferred Qualifications CPA certification (or progress toward certification) Experience with multi-entity accounting or project-based industries Familiarity with construction, real estate, or manufacturing industries Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
