Staff Accountant - Expense & Budget Support (Full-Time, Hourly)

League City, Texas (Marina One) Reports to: Director, Corporate Analysis - Expense Accounting Join our Finance team as a Staff Accountant supporting expense accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and budget-related activities. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who wants to build a strong foundation, learn from an experienced team, and grow their skills in analysis and financial reporting.

What you ll do:

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and expense reports with accuracy and attention to detail Help analyze company expenses and support financial reporting across departments and business areas Research variances and discrepancies and partner with team members to resolve issues Assist with budgeting activities, expense reviews, and planning for future budget cycles Support intercompany accounting processes and other month-end close responsibilities Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teammates on process improvements and special projects What we're looking for: We re looking for someone who is eager to learn, organized, analytical, and comfortable working with numbers in a team-focused environment. Bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered Foundational accounting knowledge, including journal entries and reconciliations Internship, coursework, or early professional experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping is a plus Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new systems and processes Detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to ask questions and learn from others Experience with SAP or similar accounting systems is helpful, but not required
