• We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Engineering industry.

This is a permanent position where the successful candidate will play a vital role in our financial department. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing our AP/AR functions, maintaining our general ledger, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth. This role demands a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a knack for numbers.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of AP, AR, and general ledger activities. 2. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports or as needed. 3. Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings. 4. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments. 5. Conduct regular ledger reconciliation. 6. Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes. 7. Analyze financial data to support business decisions. 8. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. 9. Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process. 10. Assist with tax audits and tax returns. 11. Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Engineering sector. 3. Strong knowledge of AP, AR, and general ledger. 4. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with relevant accounting software. 5. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 6. Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail. 7. Strong analytical skills and experience creating reports and presentations. 8. Solid understanding of financial and accounting procedures. 9. Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 12. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
