Description Senior Accountant - Position Description The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This position supports month‑end close, prepares complex reconciliations, and partners with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The role is well‑suited for someone who can work independently, prioritize deadlines, and provide guidance to junior staff. Key Responsibilities + Prepare and review month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities + Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances + Prepare journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions + Assist with financial statement preparation and supporting schedules + Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies + Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries + Analyze financial data and provide insights on trends and discrepancies + Assist with process improvements and documentation of procedures + Provide guidance and review work of Staff Accountants as needed Requirements Senior Accountant - Position Requirements Required Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance + 4+ years of progressive accounting experience + Strong working knowledge of GAAP + Experience with month‑end close and account reconciliations + Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel + Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills Preferred Qualifications + CPA or CPA‑eligible + Public accounting experience + Experience with multi‑entity or multi‑state environments Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
