Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Lewisville, Texas. In this role, you will oversee various accounting functions for a portfolio of properties, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end close process for a portfolio of properties, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct and review reconciliations for both operating and escrow bank accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries, along with making necessary accounting adjustments.
• Analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies and implement solutions effectively.
• Generate and distribute financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports, for stakeholders.
• Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and internal financial analysis initiatives.
• Maintain accounting schedules for depreciation, amortization, taxes, insurance, and escrow.
• Provide documentation and support for audits, cost certifications, and tax filings.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare weekly reports for executive leadership review.
• Ensure timely processing of payments such as mortgages, utilities, payroll, and reimbursements. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience with corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return preparation.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
