What You Bring to the Role Six months to two years of accounting or related experience. Associate degree in accounting, business, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Familiarity with accounting systems and general ledger processes. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with spreadsheet and financial software tools. A Preview of What Joining Us as a Jr. Staff Accountant Looks Like The Jr. Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the Credit Union's accounting operations. This position prepares and assists with accounting records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger activity, and journal entries. You will participate in month-end closing processes, reconcile assigned accounts, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role also partners with internal departments to research and resolve discrepancies, provide financial information, and support smooth daily operations.
