job summary: We are looking for an experienced Project Analyst with a strong background in job cost accounting to support day-to-day operations and integration efforts. This role acts as the financial bridge between sales and operations, ensuring absolute accuracy in project tracking, cost allocation, and revenue recognition. The ideal candidate thrives on variance analysis, contract evaluation, and maintaining airtight financial records in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Project & Settlement Tracking:
Manage B2B customer settlement accounts and maintain complete project records, including logistics, third-party processing invoices, and final customer settlements. Cost Accounting & Ledger Management:
Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable tied to specific operational projects. Post transactions to the general ledger to ensure cross-project accuracy. Financial Reconciliations:
Handle daily, weekly, and monthly project reconciliation and settlement processes; support month-end and year-end close procedures. Reporting & Data Analysis:
Produce accurate financial and operational reports by consolidating and analyzing data from CRM and ERP systems. Contract & Discrepancy Evaluation:
Review B2B customer contract terms to ensure billing alignment, perform deep-dive variance analysis, and identify/resolve financial discrepancies. Process Improvement:
Develop, document, and improve project accounting workflows, internal controls, and standard operating procedures. Cross-Functional Communication:
Partner closely with internal operations, sales teams, clients, and vendors to resolve billing or project tracking issues seamlessly. Qualifications & Experience Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Experience:
3-5 years of project accounting experience, with a heavy emphasis on job cost accounting. Industry Background:
Experience working within project-driven B2B industries such as construction, industrial installation, facility services, logistics, or similar operational environments. Technical Skills:
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Nested IFs, data modeling). Hands-on experience with major tier-1 ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar). Core Competencies:
Keen attention to detail with a proven track record in variance analysis and complex reconciliations. Strong analytical and quantitative skills to evaluate contract terms and financial metrics.
