Full Job Description Position Responsibilities:
General Accounting to include general ledger review, financial statement preparations, balance sheet/sub-ledger reconciliations, accruals, quarterly re-forecast review, and high-level monthly variance explanations. Maintain, record, and ensure accuracy of GAAP rent calculation, including monthly analytic review. Determine assets to place in service monthly. Place required assets in JDE fixed asset module, calculate and record depreciation, and perform reasonableness review. Prepare and ensure accuracy of joint venture partner's detailed reporting package monthly. Prepare monthly funding requests and loan draws for applicable properties. Maintain and analyze PPA (purchase price allocation) related accounts and any related derivatives as required. Assist with outside auditor's one-off requests, prepare audit PBCs, and prepare audit financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Equity, and Statement of Cash Flows. Prepare supporting documents for annual tax packages. Process manual billings, billing adjustments, refunds, and maintain supplemental ledgers using accounting operating system. Record daily cash and perform daily reconciliations of cash. Expense Participation (EP) for properties: Input EP information into JDE system for all customers on assigned properties, prepare pre-bills, annual true-ups, budget and reforecast for EP by customer. Perform lease review for assigned properties, and peer review for EP set up. Assist management offices, when necessary by researching issues and responding timely to their accounting related questions. Set up jobs and process all pay apps for TI/Capital on assigned properties within the JDE job cost module.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, required; CPA, highly preferred. (18 hours of accounting coursework required) 3-5+ years commercial real estate accounting experience, or public accounting audit or other commensurate experience. Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills required. Proficiency in Excel
  • Intermediate Level JDE experience preferred Prior GAAP experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to independently move throughout the office and consistently and continuously perform essential job functions. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Travel Required:
Minimal travel, up to 5%.
