Job Description
The Accountant III for Fiscal Management Services has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, overseeing all banking transactions including those transactions entered in USAS (uniform Statewide Accounting System) as well as provides key support for the cashier's office, and reviews and prepares special reports as needed. This is a full-time position that reports to LSCPA's Finance Department. Completes a variety of reconciliations between various financial systems Completes investment reports and updates investment reporting area of website Performs calculations and ensures tuition is submitted to the State in accordance with State guidelines and best practices Draws down federal reimbursements from Department of Education Monitors Banner accounts receivable reports under the direction of the Executive Director of Student Business Services as needed Assist in the yearly financial reporting process (AFR) at the request of the Executive Director of Financial Services (as need) on an adhoc basis Reviews and approves journal vouchers for accounts receivable and other entries. Assist with the LAR biennial process as a strategic team member Reconcile accounting and finance reconciliations as needed Annually perform escheat procedures Annually perform and assist in IPEDS, RFOE, Source and Uses, Board of Regents requests, TWC, and other reports as needed Provide departmental supervision Serve as backup to the Executive Director of Fiscal Management Comply with campus policies and procedures Other related duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university Two (2) years of experience on similar jobs leading to thisPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education Three years of supervisory experience Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Physical Requirements:
