Full Job Description Position Summary:
This position involves overseeing a portfolio of attorneys and client matters, ensuring efficient handling of check deposits and resolving billing issues promptly. The role requires effective collaboration with various departments to address and resolve billing inquiries, disputes, and reissues, while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of accounting systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Upholding confidentiality and integrity is crucial, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform client account reconciliations on settlement workups, client and credit card expenses Perform accounts payable tasks by cutting settlement and provider checks Identify and maintain internal controls and procedures Update and maintain journal entries, expense vouchers and credit card receipts in accounting journals, ledgers, and other financial records Responds to client requests for status updates; investigates issues as needed Requests funding from vendor, through weekly reporting; investigate issues and close cases, as needed Maintains data integrity of all Accounting systems Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate financial concepts and data Excellent critical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to multi-task and to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Maintains unwavering confidentiality and integrity Performs other duties as required
Work Experience Requirements:
Three to five years' experience in a similar role Experience involving multi-state/multi-business unit entities Public accounting experience within a personal injury law firm is a plus
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Physical Requirements :
Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions. Stationary Position
