Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting and strategic decision-making. Your proactive approach and strong technical skills will contribute to maintaining the integrity of our financial operations, supporting various business units, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and legal requirements. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards. Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Manage complex tax processes, including tax planning, tax accounting, and compliance with securities law and estate planning regulations. Oversee corporate accounting functions such as accounts payable, payroll, and bookkeeping using accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools. Perform auditing procedures in line with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements to uphold internal controls and safeguard company assets. Support mergers & acquisitions activities through financial analysis, due diligence, and integration of financial data. Assist in budgeting, financial report writing, interpretation of financial concepts, and analysis skills to support strategic initiatives. Requirements Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory. Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments with a strong foundation in GAAP and technical accounting standards. Extensive knowledge of tax experience including tax accounting, estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software for asset management and regulatory reporting is preferred. Strong understanding of securities law, non-profit accounting (if applicable), and financial statement preparation. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial reports and perform account analysis effectively. Experience with audit procedures related to SOX compliance and internal controls is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in financial planning, mergers & acquisitions support, investment analysis, and private equity considerations. Exceptional attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for financial report writing and interpretation.
