Accounts Receivable Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a great team in San Antonio, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable & Collections + Manage full-cycle

AR:

invoicing, cash posting, reconciliations, and collections + Monitor aging and follow up with hospitals, healthcare systems, and purchasing departments + Resolve billing discrepancies, short pays, and payment issues + Maintain accurate customer account records and ensure compliance with procedures Sales & Commission Support + Partner with internal sales teams and 1099 reps to support hospital sales activity + Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly commission reports + Reconcile commissions against sales data, contracts, and payments + Handle commission inquiries and maintain rep account details Reporting & Close + Assist with month-end close and audit prep + Generate AR reporting, collections summaries, and commission analytics + Support cash flow improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams Operations & Compliance + Ensure billing aligns with contract pricing and PO requirements + Maintain confidentiality and follow financial and regulatory guidelines + Apply accounting policies and uphold internal controls + Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements Qualifications:

Education & Experience + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business (required) + 3+ years of AR experience (healthcare, medical device, pharma, or hospital sales preferred) + Experience with hospital billing, GPOs, or healthcare purchasing systems Technical Skills + ERP/accounting systems experience + Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) + Strong understanding of AR, cash management, and basic AP processes Additional Experience Preferred + Commission tracking and sales compensation structures + Supporting direct U.S. hospital sales accounts + Working with 1099 sales representatives Core Competencies + Strong attention to detail and accuracy + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment + Team-oriented with strong organizational skills Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
