Company offers a challenge, team-oriented, great work/life balance and a career path. The Lead Accountant will be a part of improving accounting processes, month end close, financial reporting, and analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Lead special projects - such as creating new processes
- Responsible for the accounting processes - reconciliations, journal entries, and more
- Participate in month end close
- Perform financial analysis of income statement
- Be a resource for questions from internal groups/departments
- Prepare internal financial reports and complete special projects as assigned by the Accounting Managers, Controllers, Assistant Controllers, or VP of Finance.
- Assists with identifying risk by evaluating compliance and makes appropriate recommendations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Four plus years of experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of business accounting principles, budget preparation, and strong business acumen
- Strong research, problem-solving and investigation skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills including both written and oral
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, planning, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline-oriented
