Job Description

Our three early childhood education brands are Childcare Network, Sunrise Preschools, and My Small Wonders. We proudly provide quality care and developmental education to over 30,000 children aged six weeks to twelve years. We have a great opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our growing company! The Staff Accountant will support cash management, accounts receivable, payroll and other projects as assigned. Reporting to Accounting Supervisor, this individual will work closely with the Finance and Operations teams.
Responsibilities:
Participate in month end close to prepare journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis. Perform bank reconciliations and accounts receivable reconciliations and support payroll staff accountant with payroll account reconciliations. Prepare journal entries related to cash management and entries to reconcile any variances in accounts receivable. Assist in fulfilling audit requests and respond to any related inquiries from external auditors. Organize and maintain updated accounting procedures respective to assigned tasks. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required by Supervisor. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline required At least 2 years of progressive experience in accounting related areas. Multi-site background desired Good system aptitude and proficiency, including above average Excel skills Previous experience working with a geographically dispersed team in a high volume, fast-paced, cross-functional environment Good organization skills with excellent attention to detail Customer-focused, proactive, and responsive Team player that can build partnership and collaboration with others Quick learner and problem solver when faced with new issues or challenges Self-motivated professional with proven success of multitasking, meeting strict deadlines, and maintaining high accuracy Strong sense of urgency, initiative, and drive to follow through on assignments
