Job Description

The Department of Accounting in the Emmett and Miriam McCoy College of Business Administration at Texas State University invites applications for a non-tenure-track Faculty of Instruction position beginning Fall 2026. This position requires the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses in person, and to provide service to students, the department, the profession, and the university. Graduate and undergraduate accounting courses are predominantly taught in person, and instructional faculty are expected to be on campus at least two to three days a week during the spring and fall semesters. This position is subject to the availability of funds.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR A
graduate degree in accounting from a school with AACSB accreditation. Minimum of 5 years teaching experience at an AACSB accredited university. The successful candidate must meet the requirements to be an Instructional Practitioner (IP) under AACSB and Texas Standards ( https://www.mccoy.txst.edu/faculty-staff/faculty-resources/policies-procedures/ college/cbapps-5-07.html ).

Certified Public Accountant certification and/or significant work experience in at least one teaching area. Indication that candidate can effectively teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses Indication of a willingness to engage in service activities at the department, college, and university level.
