This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of accounting software and financial concepts, supporting both operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. You will be instrumental in maintaining precise financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing detailed financial reports that reflect the health of our organization. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Modisoft , Sage, or Quicken to ensure accurate recording of transactions. Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation to maintain the integrity of financial data. Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify account accuracy. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining detailed records. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Support payroll processing and tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and tax experience requirements. Assist with budgeting activities, providing insights through account analysis and financial report writing to aid strategic planning. Skills Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; experience with public accounting or corporate accounting preferred. Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation techniques. Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus. Ability to perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis efficiently. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks. Familiarity with payroll processing and tax compliance procedures.
