Sr. Accountant

Overview The Senior Accountant position reports directly to the Corporate Controller. This position provides support and answers questions from all other departmental managers/supervisors. The Sr. Accountant will assist the Corporate Controller in month-end closings, Internal Controls, and Cost Accounting.

Duties:

Financial Reporting & Compliance Multi Company Balance Sheet Reconciliations & P&L Account Analysis Standard financial reporting & ad-hoc reporting Bank Compliance reporting Financial and Production Analysis-Month end & ad hoc Period-End Closing Lead monthly closing cycle General Ledger Management The primary function is General Ledger Accounting and reconciliation Fixed asset and lease accounting GL journal entries Payroll entries and reconciliations Inter-Company accounting Support Tax Compliance Assist in preparation of tax schedules Internal Controls and Department Support Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures with the Controller Provide accounting support to the department, and back up critical functions for AP and AR Assist with workflow process mapping and documenting SOP's Support Audits Prepare Audit schedules Support audit requests

Education/Experience:

BA/BS in Accounting, MS (Acct) or CPA preferred. At least seven (7+) years in a financial corporate or manufacturing environment Well-versed in GAAP accounting Experience with financial ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) & MS Office suite.

Experience with and knowledge of:

Bank reconciliations Payroll GL entries and reconciliations Fixed Asset, leases, entries and roll forwards GL journal entries Financial reporting Financial Analysis-Month end & ad hoc Inter-Company accounting and reconciliation

Strong communications and attention to detail Ability to prioritize and multitask, while maintaining superior attention to detail and accuracy, to meet deadlines. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; flexibility, able to work autonomously and take direction as needed. Must be able to learn other accounting software systems. Pay:

$72,679.05 - $87,527.47 per year
