Lead the completion of monthly and quarterly accounting activities within cost acco untingPrepares costing and analysis of new products and works closely with project teams to provide metrics utilized in product development dec isionsLeads costing request initiatives including the audit of costs, bill of materials, and routesSupports the annual review of the inventory standard costs and prepares the annual review of the labor and overhead rates in coordination with operations f inanceAnalyzes month end results and inventory-related general ledger account reconciliations and provides detailed analysis results to management and business pa rtnersAssist management in making informed decisions by reviewing, analyzing, and explaining financial r eportsAssists in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial packages for analysis and reviewMonitors adherence to corporate policy and processes. Assists operating plants with resolving accounting issuesAssists in the development and monitoring of company-wide accounting policies and procedures related to inventory and standard c ostingTake a lead role in coordinating with the necessary internal departments to complete accounting objectives and other company goalsSome late nights and weekends may be req uired.

What You'll Need (Qualificat ions):
Bachelor's degree in acco untingCPA or CMA license or candidate pref erred.3 years related experience and/or training. Manufacturing experience pref erred.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft O ffice.
ERP systems experience required; Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 pref erred.

$70,000 - $99 ,000 The Senior Cost Accountant position has primary responsibility for executing the month and year end closing process, detailed account analysis, analysis of financial results, research and resolution of issues and to understand and adhere to accounting policy and procedure. This function requires well developed skills in accounting, business analysis, and process improve ment.
