Job Overview If you are an Accounting Superstar with 3 plus years experience, looking for the right work / life balance, please keep reading. We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly skilled, organized and energetic Corporate Office Accounting Team Leader to join our management group. Flexible, fun and challenging work environment. Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting 3 year minimum and progressive accounting experience
Duties and Abilities:
Prepare and analyze financial statements in various industries Conduct general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data Assist company executives with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support organizational planning Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of financial reporting systems Maintain accurate records of payroll, tax filings, and other statutory obligations Support internal and external audits through documentation preparation and process review Utilize accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and other financial management tools for daily operations Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to continuous process improvements in accounting procedures Assist in interpreting financial reports for management decision-making and prepare detailed financial reports as needed Skills Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general financial concepts Experience in various industries is preferred Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, Quickbooks, and other relevant financial tools Expertise in financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger accounting Ability to analyze financial data through financial report writing and interpretation skills Accounting degree and 2 years relevant experience required Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and tax experience is advantageous Excellent understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and internal controls Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication skills for collaboration across departments and mentoring team members
