A Staff Accountant at Breeze Airways will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. Here's what you'll do Assist in the daily activities and month-end close process Key member of the month-end close team - prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and perform flux analysis Work closely with the accounting team to drive process improvement Assist in the preparation and planning for the annual financial statement audit Development of policies and processes that will scale with company growth Work collaboratively across teams, providing actionable insights to help drive optimal business decisions Complete ad-hoc tasks and project work as needed Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence Here's what you'll need to be successful Minimum Qualifications 4-year degree with a concentration in Accounting 0-3 years of overall accounting experience Proficiency in Microsoft Excel An energetic and positive attitude with a hands-on mentality Ability to understand and articulate data and financial results Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Exposure to fixed assets and inventory accounting Experience in ERP's like Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics Skills/Talents Exemplifies Breeze's safety culture, values, and mission Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization Perks of the Job Health, Vision and Dental Health Savings Account with Breeze Employee Match 401K with Breeze Employee Match PTO Travel on Breeze and other Airlines too!
