SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
Alliance Fence & Supply is seeking a detail-oriented and accountable Senior Accountant to support the financial integrity of a growing, multi-state wholesale distribution business. This role plays a critical part in month-end and year-end close, balance sheet accuracy, inventory accounting, compliance, and ongoing process improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger and reconciliation experience, advanced Excel skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively within Sage 100 or similar ERP systems. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Director of Finance, owning core accounting responsibilities while helping strengthen systems, controls, and financial visibility as the company continues to grow.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
(Position may include additional functions not listed.)• Key Responsibilities Financial Close & Reporting Own and execute month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency Prepare, post, and reconcile general ledger accounts, including payroll entries, accruals, prepaids, and other recurring and adjusting journal entries Review income statements, research variances, and provide clear explanations to leadership Assist with budgeting and forecasting support as needed Controls, Reconciliations & Oversight Perform and review bank and account reconciliations, including cash, clearing, and liability accounts Coordinate month-end close activities with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Review AP and AR activity for accuracy and completeness Support strong internal controls and accounting documentation Inventory, Cash & Operational Accounting Support inventory accounting activities including valuation reviews and cost adjustments Prepare and reconcile journal entries related to cash activity and operating liabilities Assist in maintaining accurate cost and balance sheet reporting Payroll, Tax & Compliance Support Process or oversee payroll including related journal entries and reconciliations Prepare and file sales tax returns including multi-state considerations Support insurance renewals and audit preparation Process Improvement & Systems Assist with accounting process and workflow improvements Improve close efficiency and documentation Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and scalability What Success Looks Like On-time closes with clean reconciliations
QUALIFICATIONS
(Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.) Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Experience in performing financial close duties. Experienced user in SAGE software and proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify opportunities for improvement.

(physical, environmental, travel, etc.) Ability to work in office setting, primarily sedentary; use of normal office machines Ability to travel occasionally to company locations in ID/UT if needed
