In this role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and supporting the organization's financial health. Your expertise in accounting software, financial concepts, and compliance standards will be essential to maintaining the integrity of our financial data. Responsibilities Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar systems. Conduct payroll management tasks utilizing platforms like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro; ensure timely processing and compliance with tax regulations. Maintain detailed records of financial transactions through data entry and double-entry bookkeeping methods while adhering to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls for internal audit purposes. Prepare financial reports, assist with budgeting, and perform account analysis to support strategic decision-making. Support governmental accounting requirements and non-profit accounting procedures as needed. Assist with tax preparation activities and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Utilize technical accounting skills to analyze complex financial data, ensuring accuracy in journal entries and account reconciliations. Experience Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of GAAP standards. Hands-on experience with various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, UltiPro, Workday, Kronos, or similar platforms. Familiarity with payroll management systems like ADP or Paychex and related tax processes. Knowledge of public accounting practices and experience working with financial services organizations is a plus. Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account analysis, budgeting, credit analysis, and account reconciliation. Ability to perform detailed data entry using 10 key typing skills and double-entry bookkeeping techniques accurately. Excellent math skills combined with analytical thinking for account analysis and financial reporting tasks.
