Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team and drive our financial compliance and reporting efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for managing tax-related activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. Your expertise will help optimize tax positions, prepare accurate financial reports, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment that values precision, innovation, and continuous learning. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Assist with accounting functions including general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, and financial statement preparation. Support auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and insights related to tax and financial data. Assist with month end close for clients Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other financial transactions using accounting software like QuickBooks, or similar tools. Interpret complex financial concepts such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), double entry bookkeeping, and regulatory reporting requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy. Skills Extensive tax experience with a strong understanding of tax accounting principles and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks Familiarity with standards for internal controls. Strong analysis skills for financial reporting and interpretation of financial statements. Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments would be great Ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting efficiently. Understanding of financial concepts such as budgeting, non-profit accounting etc. Excellent attention to detail in account analysis, debits & credits management, and account reconciliation processes. Strong communication skills for clear financial reporting
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
