Senior Accountant

Job Description Senior Accountant | Dulles, VA(Onsite) I'm partnering with a highly stable, globally recognized organization to identify a Senior Accountant for their growing finance team in Northern Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants visibility to executive leadership, exposure to international operations, and a clear path for long-term growth within a well-established organization. Responsibilities Lead monthly and year-end close activities Prepare and post journal entries Perform account and bank reconciliations Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and financial reporting Support annual audit activities Reconcile payroll-related accounting entries Partner closely with AP and AR teams Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Work with foreign currency transactions and international accounting matters Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong experience with month-end and year-end close Hands-on experience with journal entries and bank reconciliations Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs Strong understanding of GAAP Experience preparing financial statements Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Experience with Great Plains is a significant plus Why Consider This Opportunity Direct exposure to CFO, Controller, and executive leadership Stable organization with strong financial performance Opportunity to work on both core accounting and special projects International exposure, including foreign currency accounting Collaborative team environment with strong leadership support Competitive compensation and benefits package This role is onsite five days per week in the Dulles, VA area.
