Job Description

An active Enrolled Agent (EA) certification by the IRS is required for this position. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Enrolled Agent/Senior Account with Tax Prep experience to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in tax, accounting, and financial analysis within a fast-paced environment. As a key contributor, you will handle complex financial transactions, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide strategic insights to support our clients' financial goals. Your proactive approach and strong technical skills will drive accuracy and efficiency across all accounting functions, making a meaningful impact on our Team's success. Duties Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Conduct detailed financial statement preparation , including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports aligned with GAAP. Perform account reconciliations such as general ledger reconciliation, asset management accounts, and balance sheet reconciliation to maintain data integrity. Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements or cost savings. Assist with estate planning activities by establishing trusts, completing final tax return ensuring adherence to securities law and regulatory requirements. Manage accounts payable processes and oversee payroll functions using accounting software like QuickBooks , Sage, Xero or similar platforms. Provide financial analysis for mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, or other financial services projects. Prepare detailed financial reports and interpret complex financial concepts for stakeholders. An active Enrolled Agent certification is required for this position. Proven experience as an Enrolled Agent or Senior Accountant with a strong background in public accounting or corporate finance. Extensive knowledge of tax experience including tax accounting, tax planning strategies, and IRS regulations. Demonstrated expertise in financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, GAAP standards, and regulatory reporting requirements. Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software tools is essential. Strong understanding of estate planning procedures, wills/trusts & estate law as well as securities law applicable to financial transactions. Experience conducting audits or SOX compliance reviews is highly desirable. Ability to analyze complex financial data accurately while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills for preparing financial report writing and interpretation of financial statements. Analytical mindset with the ability to perform account analysis, account reconciliation, budgeting and variance analysis effectively. Knowledge of investment strategies, asset management principles, private equity structures and non-profit accounting practices is a plus. Successful candidate will have a current Enrolled Agent license and hands-on experience. An active Enrolled Agent certification is required for this position. Candidates with less than 5 years of tax preparation experience are less likely to be considered.
