About the Role At MCIM, Finance and Accounting are the fuel that keeps our company moving. We're looking for a qualified Staff Accountant to help keep our financial figures and budgets on track with unwavering accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a natural passion for accounting and a strong knowledge of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, taxes, and other financial transactions within an organization. The Staff Accountant will play an important support role, clarifying the financial outlook of our company with precise, proactive measures. Reporting to the Controller, we're looking for someone with strong Excel skills, detail-oriented, highly organized, the ability to meet deadlines and collaborate well throughout the team. Job Responsibilities Execute general-ledger account reconciliations, accurate reporting, and data verification, enabling the Leadership team to make data-driven financial decisions aligned with company objectives Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts Process accounts payable (Bill.com) and expense report (Ramp) transactions Monitor and respond to customer and vendors emails via two separate inboxes Resolving payment and billing discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company Assist with the recording, maintenance and accounting of the company's fixed assets and prepaid expense schedules Process payroll and ensure accurate accounting for payroll costs Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Assist in supporting annual
U.S. GAAP
audits from third-party auditors Requirements and Skills Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Business Accounting, Finance, or related field Proven experience (2+ years) in accounting or finance roles Certified Public Accounting and/or Certified Management Accountant certification preferred but not required Experience working with Quickbooks Online and other accounting-related software such as Bill.com, Ramp is preferred Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and procedures Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Microsoft Excel Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize effectively Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information Highly collaborative and communicative team player; positive and considerate
