Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our dynamic finance team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the accounting field while working closely with seasoned professionals. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting tasks, develop technical skills, and enhance their understanding of financial concepts and practices. Duties Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports. Support the accounting team with general ledger accounting tasks. Participate in budget preparation and monitoring processes. Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards. Help interpret financial reports and provide insights on financial performance. Collaborate with team members on various projects related to financial services, including wills, trusts, and estate law. Maintain organized records of all accounting documents and transactions. Perform other duties as assigned by the accounting supervisor. Requirements Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong understanding of technical accounting principles and financial concepts. Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is preferred. Experience or coursework in budgeting and general ledger accounting is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
