26-05347 Job Summary The Project Accountant supports real estate capital projects by managing financial tracking, vendor coordination, reconciliations, and project closeout activities. This role works closely with project management, accounting, real estate teams, and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely financial execution across multiple active projects. This is a short-term assignment with the potential for extension based on business needs. Job Responsibilities Support financial processes for real estate capital projects
Coordinate procurement activities and purchase order management
Submit, track, and reconcile project invoices and account balances
Assist with vendor setup, onboarding, and payment coordination
Investigate and resolve outstanding or past-due financial items
Coordinate utility setup for new and relocated project sites
Track and reconcile landlord contributions, including tenant improvement allowances and reimbursements
Support project closeout activities, including clearing remaining purchase order balances
Review and validate CAM reconciliations received from landlords
Partner with project management, accounting, real estate teams, and vendors to ensure accurate financial reporting and execution
Maintain accurate project financial documentation and records Job Requirements 3-5 years of accounting experience required
Intermediate Excel skills with 3-4 years of hands-on experience
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience with financial and project management systems preferred, including Oracle, Lucernex, CoStar, or Procore
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with capital expenditures and capital project accounting
CAM reconciliation experience
Background in real estate, construction, or capital project accounting preferred Work Environment Primarily onsite role
Flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week
