- Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of a diverse portfolio of small businesses across multiple entities.

Responsibilities Manage and coordinate accounting activities across multiple entities, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end closing processes. Conduct bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable management, and ensure accurate accounts payable processing. Lead financial report writing, interpretation of financial data, and provide insights for decision-making. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and support internal audits related to securities law and governmental accounting standards. Mentor junior staff members in technical accounting practices such as accrual accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial analysis techniques. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial management activities to optimize cash flow and operational efficiency. Utilize various accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to streamline workflows and improve accuracy. Skills Extensive knowledge of
GAAP, SOX
compliance, and technical accounting principles. Proven experience with multi-entity corporate accounting and non-profit accounting environments. Strong proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems. Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis. Skilled in financial report writing and interpretation to support strategic decision-making. Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and bank reconciliation tasks efficiently. Competence in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and general ledger reconciliation. Strong analytical skills combined with excellent attention to detail; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data analysis and reporting tasks.
