Sharon Ridges, Controller Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Accountant to join our accounting department. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role is of utmost importance, as it requires a blend of accounting expertise and project management skills to support the successful delivery of a project within budget and financial constraints. The Project Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data. Key Responsibilities Process invoices, ensuring timely and accurate client billings. Manage accounts receivable for project-related transactions, including posting subcontractors' invoices. Manage the collections process for project-related receivables. Follow up with clients on overdue invoices and resolve any payment-related issues. Maintain thorough records of all financial transactions related to projects. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards. Collaborate with project managers to understand financial requirements and support project planning and execution with financial insights and recommendations. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems related to project accounting. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field required. Two or Three years of accounting experience is required. Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors. Experience with accounting software; Deltek (Ajera) experience preferred. Valid Driver's License. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work. Ability to lift at least 15 pounds as needed. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
