Staff Accountant (Part-Time - Onsite) Virginia Beach, VA Cherry Bekaert Staffing & Recruiting is supporting a well-established, privately held construction company in the Virginia Beach area with their search for a Part-Time Staff Accountant . This is a stable, long-term opportunity with a collaborative and flexible team environment.

Schedule & Work Environment:

20-25 hours per week, fully onsite

Required:

Mondays and Tuesdays (6-8 hours each day) One additional onsite day of your choosing Casual, team-oriented office culture with strong flexibility

Position Overview:

This role will support core accounting operations including payables, receivables, and payroll backup. The position is critical to maintaining day-to-day financial processes and offers the opportunity to step in immediately and make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions Assist with weekly payroll (primary processing completed on Mondays and Tuesdays) Provide backup support for billing and invoicing Utilize job costing functions within the accounting system Maintain accurate financial records and support general accounting tasks

Qualifications:

Experience with QuickBooks (required) Strong Excel skills Solid understanding of AP/AR processes Ability to work independently in a small team environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Construction or job costing experience is a plus, but not required
