Job Description

The Corporate Accountant is responsible for performing at a professional level primarily around accounts receivable. The Corporate Accountant also assists and supports the firm's CFO, Controller and Director of Finance and Business Ops. They will demonstrate strong technology, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Position Summary Roles and Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise and Work Quality Apply and reconcile customer payments within the accounts receivable subledger. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records and customer account details. Monitor, analyze, and follow up on aged accounts receivable balances to support timely collections. Research and resolve customer account inquiries received via email and telephone. Communicate with clients regarding account balances, payment status, and billing-related matters. Perform customer account maintenance, including updates to account information and status changes. Prepare and manage collection communications in coordination with automated payment reminder systems. Distribute customer invoices and account statements via email and mail as required. Process and post approved adjustments, credits, and corrections to customer accounts. Issue and process customer refunds in accordance with company policies and procedures. Enter, review, and correct time entries to ensure accurate client billing and revenue recognition. Personal Participation & Professional Development Actively participate in self-development activities and work with circle leader to develop and monitor appropriate and challenging goals. Solicit overall performance feedback on assigned tasks. Provides upward feedback. Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of cooperation and teamwork and strive to maintain positive working relationships. Displays an attitude of helpfulness, a focus on team success, and consideration of the ideas of others. Required Education and Experience Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience. 3+ years relevant experience in a similar capacity.
