Staff Accountant / Boat Closing Coordinator

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Boat Closing Coordinator to manage the financial and administrative side of boat sales transactions from contract through closing. This role is a unique blend of accounting, contract coordination, and operations, supporting both Sales and Accounting teams to ensure accurate, timely, and seamless closings.

What You'll Do:

Accounting & Financial Prepare journal entries and post to the general ledger Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations Reconcile intercompany and contract-related accounts Post cash and maintain accurate financial records Contract Closings Manage boat sales contracts from execution through closing Track deposits and payments Coordinate with brokers, clients, and internal teams Ensure accurate disbursement of funds Commissions & Tracking Calculate and process broker commissions Maintain commission and sales tracking reports Coordinate with Payroll, as needed, for employee commissions Operations Support Manage new boat order files and payment schedules Coordinate with Service on delivery readiness Support audits and maintain organized records

What We're Looking For:

Required 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems Strong organizational and communication skills Preferred Experience in marine, yacht brokerage, or high-value sales Familiarity with Dockmaster or similar systems Experience with multi-entity or trust/escrow accounting Schedule & Benefits Monday

• 5:00 PM Non-Exempt rate of $65,000
